新竹市54歲劉姓男子1日上吊尋短，輕生前向妻子透露要器捐幫助八仙塵爆傷者，家屬決定讓他遺愛人間，昨天由台大器捐小組評估後，晚間由醫療小組拆除皮膚及眼角膜，院方評估最多可供5、6人做皮膚移植。

劉妻哽咽向院方表達丈夫最近看到電視報導八仙塵爆傷者，曾說若有那麼一天要捐出皮膚、腎臟、骨骼、眼角膜、血管等，但究竟為何輕生？沒跡象可循。

三總2日下午火速派2醫師南下新竹，與新竹國泰醫院醫師執行皮膚拆除手術，全程約4小時。

此外，有不少來自診所的醫護人員，表示希望擔任換藥志工，經北市衛生局媒合，目前已有1200名來自全台的醫護報名加入搶救行列。這批螞蟻雄兵，將大幅舒緩第一線沉重的工作量。

台北市立聯醫和平婦幼整形外科主治醫師陳承謙表示，幫大面積重度燒燙傷病人換藥，一次須動用5、6名人力，用掉2、3小時是很平常的事；換藥前要先把舊的藥膏、敷料及壞死組織輕輕刮下，才能上新藥。
